Hi, I’m Carly. I was born in southern California, raised in a terrible small Texas town, and spent five years living in Beijing, China. In 2010, I graduated from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas with a degree in English Writing and Rhetoric. I am currently studying for an MA in Writing for Stage and Broadcast Media at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
I am the author of the novel Year of the Goose (Dec. 2015, Unnamed Press), and the memoir, A Farewell to Walmart (Nov. 2016, Little A). My essays and short fiction have appeared in The Guardian, The Los Angeles Review of Books, LitHub, and Identity Theory, among other publications.
